COLLECTION: Thank you for your contribution to the parish collection. The 2^nd Collection for today is for the Maintenance Fund.
 
PULPIT TALK: Today, let us welcome a representative from Habitat for Humanity. 
 
20^th Anniversary – All are invited to celebrate with Fr. Joel his 20^th Anniversary as a priest. There will be a celebration in the parish hall sponsored by the ministries of the parish on Wednesday, January 15 from 6 - 9 PM. 
 
Blood Drive: The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a blood drive next Sunday, January 12^th from 9 AM to 1 PM in the Parish Hall. 
 
Work of Our Hands Food Drive - The Work of Our Hands Food Drive kicks off next Sunday, January 12. The goal is to collect 2025 pounds of food for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. A list of items needed is available on your way out!

Today we celebrate the Bereavement Ministry and all who serve in it. Would all members of the Bereavement Ministry please stand for a special blessing.

The Angel Tree has a few more ornaments for making a donation to those in need. Pick one up on your way out! 
The Angel Tree donations are being collected in the Faith Formation office through December 9.
Guadalupanos are selling New Years Eve Dance tickets in the foyer!

DID YOU KNOW…..
This year’s theme for World Mission Sunday, chosen by Pope Francis, is rooted in the Gospel of Matthew: “Go and Invite Everyone to the Banquet,” reflecting the inclusive and urgent call to bring God’s love to everyone. 
The World Mission Sunday collection is inspired in the efforts made by laywoman Blessed Pauline Jaricot, who founded the Society for the Propagation of the Faith back in 1822. She asked her friends to pray for the Church in mission territories daily, and donate a penny a week. Two-thirds of those first pennies raised were sent to the vast diocese of Louisiana, which then extended from the Florida Keys to Canada. In the United States, we benefited from the collection held by the Society until 1908. Throughout the years, we received $7 million, the equivalent of over $250 million today. Thank you for your contributions

¿SA.BÍAS QUE KNOW?
La colecta del Domingo Mundial de las Misiones se inspira en los esfuerzos de la laica Beata Paulina Jaricot, que fundó la Obra para la Propagación de la Fe en 1822. Pidió a sus amigos que rezaran diariamente por la Iglesia en los territorios de misión y donaran un penique a la semana. Dos tercios de esos primeros peniques recaudados se enviaron a la vasta diócesis de Luisiana, que entonces se extendía desde los Cayos de Florida hasta Canadá. En Estados Unidos, nos beneficiamos de la colecta que mantuvo la Obra hasta 1908. A lo largo de los años, recibimos 7 millones de dólares, el equivalente a más de 250 millones de dólares actuales. ¡Gracias por su apoyo!

The Knights are in the foyer selling tickets to the Fall Dinner and Dance that will take place next Saturday, October 26, 2024. Tickets are still available.

Los Caballeros están en el vestíbulo vendiendo boletos para la Cena y Baile de Otoño que tendrá lugar el próximo sábado 26 de octubre de 2024. Las entradas aún están disponibles. 
 
ARCHDIOCESAN ASSEMBLY
The Assembly of the Archdiocese is next weekend, October 26, 2024. There is still time to register!
ASAMBLEA ARQUIDIOCESANA
La Asamblea de la Arquidiócesis es el próximo fin de semana, 26 de octubre de 2024. ¡Todavía hay tiempo para registrarse!

1. There will be a special blessing of all ministries of the parish! Each ministry needs to have 1 representative present for the blessing. If you have not responded to the Office, you have until Monday!//¡Habrá una bendición especial de todos los ministerios de la parroquia! Cada ministerio necesita tener 1 representante presente para la bendición. ¡Si no ha respondido a la Oficina, tiene hasta el lunes! 
2. Donations are still being taken. Call the office if you would like to make one.// Todavía se están recibiendo donaciones. Llame a la oficina si desea hacer una.  
3. So….. Join us for Mass at 4 PM, then the picnic, two volleyball games between the parish and school followed by an ice cream social!//Entonces: ¡Únase a nosotros para la misa a las 4 p. m., luego el picnic, 2 juegos de voleibol entre la parroquia y la escuela seguidos de un helado social! 

• the Archdiocesan Assembly will be held at St. Mary’s University
• that same night, the Knights of Columbus will host the Fall Dinner and Dance.

1. There will be a special blessing of all ministries of the parish! Each ministry needs to have 1 representative present for the blessing. Please let the office know who that will be by Friday.
2. Donations are being taken for the picnic and ice cream social. Call the office if you can help. Thank you to those who have contributed so far. 
3. Finally, we need people to attend! First, Mass, then the picnic and special this year are 2 volleyball games between the parish and school followed by an ice cream social!

• This weekend is Right to Life Sunday! Please pray for a greater love and appreciation for life. The 40 Days for Life has a table in the foyer with information.//¡Este fin de semana es el Domingo de la Vida! Por favor oren por un mayor amor y aprecio por la vida. Los 40 Días por la Vida tiene una mesa en el vestíbulo con información.
• Registrations for the next English Women’s ACTS Retreat are still being taken. The retreat begins this coming Thursday, October 10!//
• Las inscripciones para el próximo Retiro de ACTOS de Mujeres Inglesas aún se están realizando. ¡El retiro comienza el próximo jueves 10 de octubre! 
• The healing Mass that was scheduled for Monday, October 7^th has been cancelled. The priest has been hospitalized and we ask for everyone to pray for him. //La Misa de sanación que estaba programada para el lunes 7 de octubre ha sido cancelada. El sacerdote ha sido hospitalizado y pedimos que todos recen por él. 
• Next Saturday, the Guadalupanos will host a Living Rosary on October 12th after the 5:30 Mass.//El próximo sábado, los Guadalupanos acogerán un Rosario Viviente el 12 de Octubre después de la Misa de las 5:30. 
• On Friday, October 18, we will host the Health Care Professionals Mass at 6:30 PM.//El viernes 18 de octubre, organizaremos la Misa de Profesionales de la Salud a las 6:30 p. m.
• We continue to invite you to consider signing up for the Archdiocesan Assembly that will take place on Saturday, October 26 that will be held at St. Mary’s University!//¡Continuamos invitándolo a considerar inscribirse en la Asamblea Arquidiocesana que tendrá lugar el sábado 26 de octubre y que se llevará a cabo en la Universidad de Santa María! 
• And the Knights of Columbus invite you to their annual Fall Dinner and Dance on October 26^th! What better life is there than to spend a Saturday with the Archbishop and end it with dinner and dancing with the Knights!//¡Y los Caballeros de Colón te invitan a su Cena y Baile Anual de Otoño el 26 de octubre! ¡Qué mejor vida hay que pasar un sábado con el Arzobispo y terminarlo con una cena y un baile con los Caballeros! J 

• Registrations for the next ACTS Retreat are being taken in the foyer of the church.//Las inscripciones para el próximo Retiro de ACTS se están realizando en el vestíbulo de la iglesia.
• 10am & 12 Noon Masses only - On Monday, October 7^th, there will be a healing Mass sponsored by the Shalom Ministries. There are representatives from Shalom if you want more information.
• Central Catholic is outside selling raffle tickets.//Alumnos de Central Catholic están afuera vendiendo boletos para una rifa.
• Don’t forget, sign up for the Archdiocesan Assembly that will take place on Saturday, October 26.//No se olvide, inscríbase en la Asamblea Arquidiocesana que se llevará a cabo el sábado 26 de octubre. 
• Cada 2do y 4to lunes del mes hay un Estudio Bíblico en Español. El próximo es el 16 de octubre.
