Women of the Well Ministry (WOW)

The Women of the Well Ministry (WOW) was founded in the fall of 2003 with the mission to embrace God’s unifying love by fostering and nurturing the faith of women with a true servant’s heart. The WOW Ministry offers both spiritual guidance and community assistance, opening its doors to all women of the St. Luke and San Antonio communities who wish to share and benefit from this unique fellowship. Some of the spiritual guidance activities include: meditations focused on spiritual growth, women in the Bible, biblical passages or other faith-based topics of interest, sometimes offered by guest speakers. Other activities include day retreats, within the WOW community for spiritual renewal and an annual retreat for WOW inviting the outside community to share the spirit of renewal.

Traditional community assistance projects include, but are not limited to: providing resources for women in crisis, including immediate financial assistance, and various retreats we are called upon to coordinate for the Women’s Detention Center, and annually for Seton Home. WOW host an annual Bunco fundraiser event which in turn funds the valuable services provided to the community throughout the year.
