The purpose of the Confraternity of Our Lady of Guadalupe is to aid members to lead a Christian life, and to promote and encourage public and private devotions to Mary, the Mother of God, under the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We perform devotional works by praying for the needs of our members, our parish community and our church through public recitation of the rosary at our monthly bilingual rosary, praying at our monthly general meetings, serving as prayer warriors, serving meals to Habitat for Humanity volunteers, sponsoring pilgrimages, hosting bereavement receptions, participating in our nursing home ministry, rosary-making, hands of mercy ministry, and the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12 each year.
Volunteers are needed for: Rosary-Making (rosaries are created for retreats, deployed military, seniors, expectant mothers, and other community groups; time commitment is 3 hours each month), Project Lawrence (soliciting donations and sending packages to St. Luke deployed military members; time commitment is 2 hours every 3-4 months), and Bereavement receptions (as needed).
