Inspired by Gospel values, the St. Vincent de Paul Society members offer person to person services to those in need, promote human dignity and personal integrity in all dimensions. We give priority to the poorest of the poor and to those rejected by society. Last year, the Society our Vincentians helped our brothers and sisters with food, clothing, household goods, rental, and utility assistance, bus tickets, and hope. Our contribution to those in need was valued over $90,000. Vincentians hold reverence for the poor; we do not judge, but seek to understand without being judgmental. We establish confidentiality by creating relationships based on trust and friendship. We promote self-sufficiency by helping the poor to help themselves forge ahead and change their own destiny.
