Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a worldwide Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering. The St. Luke Conference, comprising 34 volunteer Vincentians, is open to help the needy four hours per day, five days per week. Volunteers can assist the conference as office workers or case workers, or they may work organizing and distributing food and clothing during their once a week, two-to-four hour commitment. During the last year, our Vincentians accumulated 6,749 volunteer hours helping 6,968 people with food, clothing, and household items as well as rental and utility assistance valued at approximately $130,000. Our conference’s ability to provide this amount of financial help is only through the generosity of our parishioners.
